Enjoyed loafing with you, I say! Had total feels of your old cross-and-main project

Thank you. Me too. I love walking around bangalore aimlessly. This year has been lucky so me. I got to walk around a little.

Loved it! The Green City was my summer hang as a kid. Back in the 80s. In recent visits I have been amazed at how much of that survives despite all the change!

Yes. A lot of it survives and bangalore can be a friendly place too unlike what people say about it on Reddit and twitter.

Such a visual delight this post is. The Bangalore techies like me inhabit is very different from the one you have shown here. Almost a different cultural continent. I had no clue, for example, that Sanju baba has a pocket of fans here.

Thank you! These pockets are what makes walking around any city wonderful :)

Pocket is an understatement! You'll also sometimes see autos with Amitabh or Dilip Kumar on them.

It's fun to see Bangalore nostalgia through your eyes Gopal. As the adage goes, the more things change... :)

This was a super nostalgic trip. Even though I'm still in Bangalore, I've not revisited those places. Thank you for the glimpses.

And towards the end: Is that the Windsor Pub? Or, Pecos? The cassettes stacked up in the background confuses me.

I would recommend a walk in Bangalore to revisit these places if you haven’t been there in a while. The pub is the old peco’s. Windsor is gone, a long time.

Yes. So many pictures and stories from Mumbai I have to share here. Hopefully soon!

And is Windsor Pub still a thing? Haven’t been there in years… last I went was to do a militantly disputed story for OT on military hotels in the Cantt.

Unfortunately no. Windsor has closed down. This was Peco’s. But there are many places that serve decent pork. I would recommend Juke Box in Kormanagala.

I loved this walk around so much! Am still a relative newcomer to Bangalore and even though it is that one city which I have walked around and explored by foot the most, I realise there is still so so much to discover

Yes. Each locality in bangalore is a universe in itself. What’s the hurry. Keep walking like you always do.
